Distributed Energy Resources (DER) is the name of the technologies for decentralised production: Combined Heat and Power, windturbines, photovoltaics and consumption: electric vehicles, heat pumps, electrical boilers and storage: battery.

Years back in Denmark, the electricity production primary came from large power plants, but the development through the last 20 years has changed that. Today more than 50% of the electricity production comes from decentral production - called Decentral Energy Resources.
